Jerry Cowan’s 2008 Cadillac XLR

2008 Cadillac XLR. I’ve owned this car for about 15 months now and what a pleasure it is to drive. This car was built in Bowling Green Kentucky at the GM plant for Corvettes and has the Corvette chassis. From that point on it is all Cadillac. Under the hood is a 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engine that was factory rated at 320 horsepower @ 6400 and 310 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic with overdrive and drive shift control.
The exterior color is silver and has a power-retractable hardtop, black powdered coated 18″ seven-spoke alloy wheels, traction and stability control systems, 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, 4 wheel independent suspension with Magnetic Ride Control. Accessories include Xenon headlights, fog lights, rear parking sensors and LED tail lights,
The interior is done in black leather and wood. The seats are upholstered in black leather, heated and cooled and 8-way power seat adjusters. Wood veneers accent the center console, shift knob, and door pulls. Other accessories include heads-up display, adaptive cruise control, a Bose sound system, an in-dash six-disc CD stereo, navigation, keyless access, push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, speed sensitive power steering, rear parking assist, tire pressure monitor system, front & side impact air bags.
