Pierre Bogros’s ’68 Cadillac DeVille Convertible with ’71 Airstream

The car: This 1968 1968 Cadillac DeVille Convertible has been completely restored with a custom rack on the trunk and a custom leather trunk on the rack, both designed and made by myself, with a rear air suspension and custom hitch added to pull our Airstream.

The trailer: We found the 1971 27’ Airstream Overlander sitting in the back yard waiting to be restored. My wife and I brought the trailer home and that was the beginning of the remodel. I started the removal of the original cabinets, kitchen, bathroom and floor. When the trailer was gutted I realize it was a huge project, and I did not have the time nor the knowledge to go any further. So I contacted a shop who does nothing but Airstream restoration. Under my direction, they started little by little to restore the beauty of this American icon. The process took almost ten months. Every details has been thought out: the cabinetry, the recessed lighting, the matching colors, even the acrylic shower to give the feeling of space, the over size solid maple table, everything in the trailer is custom, from the Italian granite on the kitchen counter top, the African zebra wood in the bedroom to the solid bamboo floor.
