Bob Beck’s 1948 Plymouth Club Coupe

 

Bob Beck has owned this 1948 Plymouth Club Coupe for over 35 years. He’s the third owner, but the one that cut it up to make it a cool hot rod. Flames were added in his garage originally by Mike Bishop, Ron Miller and Bob. John Goms fixed the flame on the hood after a 20 year absence. There is a V8, OD auto trans, Disc brakes and a 48 year old Earl Schieb Black Paint job on the car.

Bob Beck is one of the most versatile announcers working in the country today, and has been an NHRA announcer for 40+ years at numerous tracks. The last 10 as the staff announcer at Irwindale. 20 at LA County Raceway and traveled with NHRA for their reunions for 25 years as well as Goodguys for 13 years.
