Debby & Ken Hay’s 1964 Thunderbird

Our 1964 Thunderbird was originally purchased by John Blatt, who was known to frequent the bars in South Philadelphia.  He later sold the car to John Kenney, a bar owner.  John Kenney’s 21-year-old granddaughter subsequently inherited the car, but at age 21 she did not want the car.  Luck had it that Debby and Ken were at the right place at the right time, and bought the car.   It is Debby’s car and she refers to it as her fourth grandchild.  Debby is known to climb into the engine to detail it and shine it up every time it is taken out.

Over the years the car has been completely restored. Through car shows, cruise nights, and just driving it around, it has brought both Debby and Ken many friends and acquaintances who recognize them as the fedora hat couple.
