A wide and smooth road, exotic, luxury, and classic cars in abundance, an enthusiastic crowd, and temperate weather are features that any automotive enthusiast could want in a car show. The 2025 edition of Monterey Car Week featured a long-running staple known as Exotics On Broadway and billed as “The People’s Show”, which once again provided these benefits and more.

In 2025, the event spanned its usual four blocks between Del Monte Blvd. and Fremont Blvd. in the town of Seaside, just two miles from nearby Monterey. As in past years, it offered free admittance to view amazing machines lining both sides of the four-lane pavement. The big change this year was that an additional area identified as the Del Monte Blvd. Section was set up as an enclosed, ticket-only area spanning along Del Monte Blvd. The draw within the confines of this dedicated display space included 40+ hypercars, top sponsors and vendors, a main stage, and VIP Lounge. Given Exotics On Broadway’s annual attendance of at least 30,000, there seemed to be no end to the number of attendees who were lined up to pay for and enjoy the extras offered in the show’s new addition.

It must also be noted that this show is unlike most of the other events that occur during Monterey Car Week in that despite its in-your-face excess, cars are not judged and consequently there are no awards. This aspect undoubtedly contributes significantly to a festive atmosphere and perspective of pure enjoyment in just showing or viewing incredible machines.

Two items are important for enthusiasts to include in plans to attend this event. The area is surrounded by residential blocks whose narrow streets have parking spaces that are heavily utilized by the local populace for their personal vehicles. It is therefore important to build in time to locate parking, which may require a longer walk to the show area. Additionally, the noise level is higher here than at other Monterey Car Week events due to a mix of live and recorded music competing with revving engines of exotic and modified cars arriving and departing the show area throughout the day. For perhaps most attendees, these are minor annoyances that are taken in stride in order to enjoy everything that Exotics On Broadway has to offer.
