The Grand Auto Show is returning to White Mountains Community Colleg on Saturday, May 7, 2016 (***with a rain date of May 8th***). The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the public is invited to attend. Bring the kids! Although there is no cost to attend the Grand Auto Show, donations will be accepted at the door. Scheduled activities will include cars, motorcycles and tractors on display, Chassis Dynamometer Testing, a 50-50 raffle, a raffle with prizes donated by area businesses, a live band, and lunch prepared by WMCC’s Culinary Arts program will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the event will be used toward scholarships to support students at White Mountains Community College.
Last year numerous people went away with great raffle prizes, including folding canvas chairs, 10 gallon propane tanks, lunch boxes, coolers, oil lamps, floating cooler raft, and gift certificates to a variety of local businesses.
Three Best of Show Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place. Volunteers who are affiliated with the car industry, but do not have any vehicle on display will serve as judges.
Sponsorships are also available for the car show and those who donate will have their company name on the promotional material for the Grand Auto Show. There are three levels of sponsorship: Gold Sponsors – $500 – listed on all advertising (flyers, brochures, newspapers, registration forms, and culinary food menu), radio ads, logo on a separate banner hanging at the auto show. Silver Sponsors – $250 – listed on all flyers and in newspaper ads. Bronze Sponsors – $100 – listed on the flyers. All Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors will be recognized in the newspaper after the auto show. Other donations of lesser amounts will be greatly appreciated and those individuals will be recognized in the newspaper as “friends” of the auto show.
