The Ramapo Concours d’Elegance will showcase significant and rare automobiles at its first annual show on Saturday, June 6, 9am-5pm, at Ramapo College, 505 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, New Jersey. Motoring enthusiasts of all ages are welcome at this event that benefits Ramapo College and the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation. Admission is free; parking is $10.
The Concours celebrates the art and engineering of significant cars by select marques from the collections of local and regional collectors: British, Pre-1964; Cobra-Powered; Ford Thunderbird; Italian; Jaguar, Pre-1968; Lincoln and Lincoln Continental; Mercedes-Benz SL, Pre-1971; Microcars; Air-cooled Porsche and Air-cooled Volkswagen. Distinguished judges will award prizes for Best in Show as well as Best in Class for each of the ten categories. Apply to display your car at www.ramapoconcours.com/2015-concours.
Free health screenings will be offered from 9am-2pm, including blood pressure readings, body mass index calculations and derma scan screenings by the Hackensack University Medical Center. Ramapo College will be hosting campus tours and an art exhibition. A luncheon barbeque will be served for $15.
The Concours Drive on Sunday, June 7 gathers participants at Ramapo College at 9:30am for breakfast followed by a scenic drive to the Mohonk Mountain House and a fully catered lunch. Tickets, $100/person, can be purchased at www.ramapoconcours.com/tickets.
