Monterey Rock & Rod Festival-15 is the major fundraising event for Gateway Center of Monterey Co. Inc a 501c3 Not for Profit, assisting adults with intellectual disabilities since 1963.  Friday Night, June 17, this event kicks off with a Sock Hop, featuring Jeremy “Elvis” Pearce and the Memphis Sons, no host BBQ + Full Bar, silent and live auction, best dressed 50’s-60’s, dance contest along with Host Band ‘The Yard Dogs”.  It takes place at the General Stilwell Ballroom in Seaside.  On Saturday June 18, the events moves to downtown Monterey in the Custom House Plaza with classic car show and live music from 5 great bands including Headliner “Big Brother & The Holding Company with Peter Albin & Dave Getz, along with Darby Gould performing Janis Joplin Vocals. There will be a special appearance by Jeremy “Elvis” Pearce opening for the Headliner.  With over 90 Merchant Awards, 15 Awards of Excellence and Best of the West Award Winner, you don’t want to miss out on this event.  Lot’s of vendors, steps to Fisherman’s Wharf and downtown Monterey and surrounded by Adobes and our Host Hotel the Portola Hotel & Spa.
