 Houston. Open to the public, the show runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, showcasing American classics, exotics, hot rods, muscle machines, and everything in between, along with live music, food trucks and a silent auction.

 

Organizers have teamed up again with the Commemorative Air Force Wings Over Houston Airshow and Fuller’s Guitar, giving guests bonus access to an expanded two-day festival starring the headlining Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy’s flight demonstration squadron. In its 38th year, the show also features vintage aircraft, aviation exhibits, aerobatic performers, motion simulator rides, merchandise booths and a carnival. must be purchased to attend Guitars N’ Cars. Guitars N’ Cars welcomes car clubs and individual vehicle entries. Show car entry is $50 per vehicle until October 25. Proceeds from Guitars N’ Cars help advance the mission of U.S.VETS to end veteran homelessness. About one in seven people experiencing homelessness on Houston’s streets is a veteran. 

 

Guitars N’ Cars was started in 2009 by Gordon Clunn of Clunn Acoustical and has raised over $682,000 for veteran services. U.S.VETS — Houston was established in 1993 to successfully transition military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, counseling, career development and comprehensive support. Veterans experiencing homelessness or who are at risk are always welcome to visit U.S.VETS’ drop-in center where they can enjoy a meal, wash their clothes, use a computer, access free cell phone service, receive case management and begin their road to a more stable future. About the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Wings Over Houston Airshow 

 

The CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow is an IRC 501(c)(3) community event presented by the volunteer efforts of the Houston Wing, Gulf Coast Wing, and Tora! Tora! Tora! of the Commemorative Air Force, with support from the Lone Star Flight Museum, Collings Foundation-Houston based at Ellington Airport, and the Vietnam War Flight Museum. One of the top air shows in the United States, this premier Houston event is dedicated to showcasing vintage World War II aircraft, along with the thrills of modern aviation, and has supported a variety of local and national charities during its 38-year history.
