11am – CAR SHOW will start at 11pm, ending at 4 pm, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 101 W. Chandler St., Arlington, MN. Concessions provided by & benefit St. Paul’s Church. Suggested $10 donation to enter a vehicle. Pre-registraion is not required, donation does NOT include a T-shirt. ——————————————————————————————————————————————–
4pm – The CRUISE will leave Arlington at 4pm. We cruise through the eastern part of Sibley County, ending in Henderson at approximately 5:30pm. ——————————————————————————————————————————————– T-SHIRTS can be pre-ordered by April 22 for the event at an additional cost (there may be some available the day of the show/cruise, but no guarantees). Alex is a 16-year old boy from Arlington, MN who’s dealing with cancer for the second time. His story in his mom’s words:
“Alex was just 9 years old when he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in 2009. He underwent chemotherapy, and had to have his right arm amputated in July of 2009. After finishing the chemo treatments, and undergoing 2 lung surgeries in January of 2010, because the cancer spread to his lung, the doctors determined Alex’s cancer to be 100% dead. Alex had almost moved into the long term program. However, scans in June of 2014 showed a cancerous nodule in his right lung. He had surgery to remove that with no complications. In September of 2015, another nodule was found in his left lung, which was also surgically removed.
On January 9, 2016, at a routine doctor visit, scans revealed his cancer was back in his left lung. Some very large tumors were found, as well as fluid in his lung. He was rushed into emergency surgery to remove the fluid, and is currently undergoing chemo therapy treatment.” ——————————————————————————————————————————————–
