>>>The Grand National Roadster Show is having a big return in 2022!
Currently in its 72nd year. Once known as the Oakland Roadster Show, it is now the longest-running indoor car show in the world!
Over 500 show vehicles will compete for awards inside the Fairplex buildings. Another 400-800 vehicles will join the event Saturday & Sunday for the 15th Annual Grand Daddy Drive-In.
Since the debut of the Grand National Roadster Show in 1950, its top-tier award has always been America’s Most Beautiful Roadster (AMBR). That changed in 2020, as the Al Slonaker Memorial Award — open to just about any four-wheeled vehicle that isn’t a roadster — features a new trophy and an increased payout of $12,500, or $2,500.
The Al Slonaker Memorial Award winner is chosen by a panel of judges, who grade each entry on originality, style, design, craftsmanship, engineering, and functionality.
The $12,500 prize makes this the second-richest payout in hot-rodding. Show sponsor ARP will fund the new cash prize and will also supply the trophy, which will feature a crowdsourced design.
Live Entertainment: Listen to music all three days inside Bldg 10 and outside. Keep your eyes open, you may see celebrities throughout the show!
Awards Ceremony: The GNRS Awards Ceremony starts at 4:00pm on Sunday night where the 2016 America’s Most Beautiful Roadster, America’s Most Beautiful Motorcycle will be crowned, along with many other awards.
Admission: General Admission (13 years and up) $30.00, Junior Admission (6-12 years) $10.00, 5 & under are free
