We are returning to one of our favorite venues where we have had several shows in the past including our national meet in 2008. Our event will be from June 3 through June 6, 2015.
Our host hotel will again be the Nugget Resort and Casino in Sparks, NV. The resort is right across the street from the Victorian Square Plaza where we will be having our Car “Show and Shine” on Saturday June 6. The Nugget is a complete resort with large rooms, gaming, restaurants, shows, shopping and secured parking for our Brutes. The resort runs shuttles to and from the Reno airport and downtown Reno on a regular basis. They will host our banquet in the beautiful pool banquet room overlooking the snowcapped eastern sierras.
Wednesday, June 3: Check in day which will begin in the afternoon. There will be a Hospitality suite for our registered participants.
Thursday, June 4: We will meet at 9 AM and begin with a tour to Carson City and a visit to a large private car collection. Then we will stop in the historic town of Genoa, the first settlement of NV (founded 1851). We will have time for a short tour of the town which has some antique shops, gift shops, a nice museum and the first thirst parlor (saloon) of NV. After our visit we will have lunch around 12:30 PM at the Genoa Lakes Golf Club. The club house overlooks the golf course and the eastern sierra mountain range. We will then cruise into the Carson Valley where we will see one, possibly two, other private car collections. After our auto eye candy is finished, there will be a traditional Basque feast (dinner) at J. T. Restaurant and Bar in Gardnerville starting between 6:00 to 6:30 PM. After dinner we will cruise back to the Nugget for the rest of the evening.
Friday, June 5: We will meet at 10 AM and will cruise to the National Automobile Museum in Reno, NV. We will have a catered lunch in the banquet room of the museum. After the museum tour and lunch, you will have the afternoon off to shine up your Brute, visit other local attractions or do some shopping or gaming. Friday evening we will gather together at 4:45 PM, cruise a short distance and display our Brutes at the weekly car show that will be put on by Summit Racing Auto Parts in Sparks, NV.
Saturday, June 6: The big day of our Car “Show and Shine” on the Victorian Square Plaza, to be followed by our banquet and awards dinner, with cocktail hour from 5 to 6 PM and dinner at 6 PM. Note: For those wishing to arrive early or stay after our events, the beautiful Lake Tahoe and the historic mining town of Virginia City are within a half hour drive from the Nugget Resort. Our host and hostess will be dual club members Steve & Lucette Simon of Gardnerville, NV.
