SUNDAY, July 24 2016 -***RAIN OR SHINE*** The 38th TIME MACHINES ANTIQUE CAR SHOW AND SWAP MEET WILL BE HELD AT THE GUILFORD FAIRGROUNDS on Sunday, July 24, 2016, same as always the 4th Sunday in July. Hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $4.00, seniors $3.00 and free admission for children under 12. ——————————————————————————————————————————————-
The Guilford Fairgrounds, at 111 Lovers Lane, are just off I-95, Exit 59. The fairgrounds offer ample free, flat spectator car parking. There will be food vendors as well as an antique Good Humor ice cream truck. Food vendors will provide coffee, donuts, or breakfast, lunch, snacks, and desserts. You will be kept entertained throughout the day by our DJ. Clean permanent restrooms are available for your convenience. For those of you who have attended the Time Machines Antique Car Show and Swap Meet in past years, we look forward to you returning for an enjoyable day. If you have never attended this show, you should save the date…Sunday, July 24, 2016 as it is one of the largest judged car shows in Connecticut, plus vendors spaces filled with car related & craft items. There will be numerous free door prizes called throughout the day. Again this year, half of the total proceeds of the 50/50 raffle will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. This should be a fun filled day with plenty to keep the whole family busy, checking out the flea market and show cars. CAR SHOW: There will be 24 judged show car classes for vehicles up to 1991. Most show-car classes are by brand affiliation, and other classes include muscle cars, pick ups, commercial, and service vehicles. There is also a non-judged class for special interest newer cars manufactured after 1991. For Classes, see http://tbirdsofconn.org/ShowCarClassesSponsors.html THIS YEAR WE ARE HONORING OUR VIETNAM VETERANS WITH A SPECIAL PARKING AREA FOR THE VETERANS TO DISPLAY THEIR SHOW CARS. In an effort to encourage older car participation, original, non-modified show cars pre-dating 1930 will be allowed free entry.
Three awards per judged class will be awarded. There are unique Time Machines trophies. Also available will be Time Machines Car Show t-shirts. Check our show class listing in the show web page or listed on the show flier. Individual show class sponsors can be found on our web site. SWAP MEET: Please fill out the SWAP MEET registration form. Pre-registration cost is $15 (non-refundable) for a 20×20 foot space. Registration on show day is $30 per space.
