The Owls Head Transportation Museum’s 38th Annual New England Auto Auction™ is Saturday, August 22. Up to 200 antique, classic and special interest vehicles will be offered for sale to the highest bidder during the Museum’s premiere annual fundraising event. The New England Auto Auction™ has become a highly anticipated event in the New England automotive community and beyond. Bidders and spectators from around the world are expected to attend “one of the great summer events in New England” on August 22. The 38th Annual New England Auto Auction will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. A preview week will take place August 17 through 22, and the Museum will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, providing potential bidders with an opportunity to view auction the large selection of vehicles slated for sale.
Bidder registration will be available onsite from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21 and the preview and registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the auction, Saturday, August 22, and will extend through the conclusion of the sale. Bidder registration is $75 and includes an auction catalog, free admission for two adults to the auction preview and two seats in the reserved bidders section on auction day. Spectators are encouraged to attend the preview week and auction, spectator admission is $16 each day of the preview and on auction day. Concessions and a beer garden — serving wine and beer— will be offered during the auction (cash bar, ID required).
When featured in The Wall Street Journal, this auction was heralded as “the real thing.” The sale represents one of the finest and most diverse selections of automobiles available in the Northeast. Automobile enthusiasts will not want to miss the opportunity to bid on or spectate the high-drama sale of nearly 200 fine quality automobiles and motorcycles.
