2nd Annual River Farm Car Show – Sunday, October 18, 2015 – 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. – American Horticultural Society River Farm, 7931 E Boulevard Dr., Alexandria, Virginia.
This is the 2nd Annual River Farm Car Show. It’s a lovely location on the Potomac in Alexandria next to the GW Parkway. The proceeds from the show benefit the West Potomac HS Theater Department. This is a really fun show because of the relaxed atmosphere and because judging is done by the people entering and attending the show.
There are 20 trophies and the categories range from “Best of Show” to “Diamond in the Rough” and “Best Engine” to name a few. Registration starts at 9 AM and you will need to be registered by noon to be judged. Come early! Judging is by peoples choice so both registered owners and spectators vote for their favorite cars. Show registration is $20 and spectators are $3 (kids 12 and under are free). Dash plaques will be given to all cars entering the show.
The location is a beautiful field in front of a mansion on the Potomac. The location is near the stone bridge over the parkway approximately halfway between Old Town Alexandria and Mount Vernon. There will be concessions but you can also bring a picnic (no alcohol, please!). The beautiful gardens and rolling hill behind the mansion make this car show a wonderful venue.
