2019 Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix

Location:
Coatesville
3rd and Lincoln Highway
Coatesville, Pennsylvania 19320

Event Info:

Get ready for the 4th running of the Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix!

This unique motorsport event was envisioned to evoke the spirit of auto and motorcycle racing through the streets of towns across America in the early days of racing. The Grand Prix is NOT a wheel-to-wheel race, but an individually timed motorsport event run over a 2.2-mile road course through the streets and neighborhoods of the city of Coatesville. The course is challenging with many hay bale chicanes, turns, and hills to conquer.

The Vintage Grand Prix is open to vintage, antique and classic cars and motorcycles from 1900 to 1970. There are 5 groups. Group 1: 1900 to 1950 open-wheel race cars. Group 2: 1930 to 1970, 4-cylinder race cars. Group 3: 1930 to 1970, 6-cylinder cars. Group 4: 1930 to 1970, 8 and 12 cylinder cars. Group 5: 1930 to 1970 motorcycles. Each group has two, 20-minute track sessions during the event. Visit the website for complete details, registration forms, photos, and videos of our past events. New! Period correct race-prepped replicas are allowed. See website for details.

Don’t have a race car but want to be part of the action? Sign up for Lunchtime Touring!

The Lunchtime Touring run group, is open to all vintage, antique and classic non-race cars and motorcycles. New! Period correct street replicas are allowed. Replicas must represent a factory production car from this time period. This special 20-minute, pace car-led run group lets you experience the fun and excitement of the event. Park in the paddock with all of the race cars and motorcycles too! You’ll be up close and in the middle of all the action! Entry is just $50!

A fun day for the whole family — and it’s FREE to watch!

The Start/Finish Line is located at 3rd Avenue and Lincoln Highway and is a great place to watch all the action. Activities start at 8:30 AM with a Color Guard ceremony and the singing of our National Anthem. Cars and motorcycles get the green flag at 9 AM. Enjoy music, great food, a beer garden, vendors, and more!
