Established in 1977, Der Kleiner Kampfwagens is a vintage Volkswagen Club in the California Look style. The Cal Look look can be best described as performance based. Usually with a nose down, drag race stance, backed by a big motor, often fed with 48IDA Weber carburetors, and a close ratio gearbox. The stripping of trim, bumpers and things that don’t help you go fast is common. Simple paint and alloy wheels complete the package. Initiated in the late 60’s and early 70’s, almost 50 years later the look has endured.
