Founded June 20, 2007, Alamo City LX Modern Mopar was born from the shared passion of local car enthusiasts who wanted to take their conversations beyond online forums and bring them to life through real-world events, meetups, and a shared love for all things Mopar.

Our name pays tribute to our roots in San Antonio, a city steeped in rich history and famously known as the Alamo City—a nod to the legendary Battle of the Alamo and Texas’ fight for independence. This makes our identity unmistakably tied to where we come from.

The \”LX\” in our name refers to the original platform used for the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Magnum. With the launch of the Dodge Challenger on the LC platform in 2008, we proudly expanded our scope to include it as well.

As the automotive landscape continues to evolve and platform designations change, our community remains united under the banner of Alamo City LX Modern Mopar. We continue to welcome all generations of these four iconic vehicles—Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Magnum—that share the same Mopar DNA introduced in 2005.
