Angela Ruch is a NASCAR driver racing with NEMCO Motorsports in the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Racing runs in her family as she is the niece of former Daytona 500 Champion Derrike Cope. She and her twin sister, Amber Cope, made NASCAR history in 2010 by being the first twins to compete in one of its top three series. Her debut at the historic superspeedway in the No. 8 JJ Resources Chevy is one for the record books. On February 15, 2019, she became the first female in the NASCAR Truck Series history to lead laps at Daytona International Speedway. She ran at the Las Vegas Speedway last month, leading the way for female NASCAR drivers and women athletics. She and her husband, Mike Ruch, are based in Miami, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina where they await the arrival of their adopted newborn baby boy.
