SATURDAY, Oct. 1, 2016 – (RAIN or SHINE) – You’re Invited To The 2016 Bridgehampton Museum Vintage Sportscar Road Rally & Classic Car Tour, celebrating over 100 Years of Racing in Bridgehampton, presented by The Bridgehampton Museum & Dan’s Papers. This year, in addition to the vintage automobile race, attendees are invited to take part on the Tour d’Hamptons, a shortened course of about 40 minutes, for newer cars of interest. Beneath the Main Tent at the Bridgehampton Museum, enjoy a special curated exhibit of Bridgehampton’s racing history, as well as art and discussions about antique cars and their drivers. ———————————————————————————————————————————————

ROAD RALLY: approximately 60 miles and will include four stops to collect poker cards (the best hand upon everyone’s return wins a special prize) and stops at the historic trivia sites. The route should take about three hours to complete. This year there will also be a prize for the car that returns back to the Bridgehampton Museum closest to the official projected Rally time, as pre-determined by the Rally Coordinator. CLASSIC CAR TOUR – INAUGURAL TOUR D’HAMPTONS – We organized the Classic Car Tour after some Road Rally entrants repeatedly failed to complete the course. We realized that not everyone wanted to compete in the Road Rally, and that some classic car owners just wanted to take their cars out for the day and have a nice drive in the company of other like minded enthusiasts. If that describes you, welcome to the Tour!
The Tour is open to any motor vehicle built before 12-31-1959. Even Motorcycles are welcome! In the past we have planned a different route and activities for our “tourists”. This year again we are sending you on the same route as the rally entrants. ——————————————————————————————————————————————–
