Preston Lerner is a published novelist and award-winning journalist based in suburban Los Angeles. His work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Wired, Men’s Journal, Smithsonian, Travel & Leisure and numerous other national magazines. He’s also a longtime contributing writer for Automobile Magazine. His first non-fiction book, Scarab, was published by Motorbooks International in 1991. His first novel, Fools on the Hill, was published by Pocket Books in 1995. More recently, he was the co-author of Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman, published by Motorbooks in 2009. Automobile racing is Preston’s passion and he club-races with the Sports Car Club of America and National Auto Sport Association.
